Week 29 - Jerry Maguire

The end is near Llama Chaser nation and we need wins more than ever. With just 4 weeks left and 12 points out of first we need to go 7-0 or at least 5-2 the rest of the way out to have a chance. So this week we bowled one of my favorite teams with maybe the second best team name in the league "OBGYPin". They are one of my favorites because they embrace what the Llama Chasers stand for. I'm not exactly sure what that this but that doesn't matter. You remember that scene from Jerry Maguire when he "slept" over Dorothy's house and in the morning Dorothy was talking to her sister about Jerry, as he was still sleeping, and she says "I don't know if you're interested in this detail, but I was just about to tell you that I love him. I love him, and I don't care what you think. I love him for the man he wants to be, and I love him for the man he almost is. I love him. ". Well I think Grover(a member of OBGYPin) feels that same way about the Llama Chasers, which is nice. I could see him rolling out of my bed, brushing his teeth, strolling down to the kitchen and striking up a conversation with my wife saying "I don't know if you're interested in this detail, but I was just about to tell you that I love them. I love them, and I don't care what you think. I love them for the team they want to be, and I love them for the team they almost are. I love them." In the movie Jerry walks out of the bedroom and heard the whole thing and Dorothy was very embarassed, well Grover wouldn't be embarassed and that is the beauty of it. So you would think we won 7 but not exactly. The first game OBGYPin let us now they may enjoy our team but they don't mind kicking our ass, which is what they did by over 100 pins. Tom and Brandon were both slightly over average, Ryan and Brick slightly under, and Kevin, yeah that guy, needed 2 strikes in the 10th frame to avoid the skirt and of course got 2 strikes. But the rest of the night the Llamas had their way led by Tom. In the second game Tom went llama, open, llama and finished with a 243. Kevin rolled a clean game 200, Brandon had a 177, Ryan dropped in a 192, and Brick had a llama and a 213. We shaved off about 60 pins from the total heading into game 3. Tom continued his strong night with a 210 - 645 series. Kevin, Ryan, and Brandon ran a nice little 189, 190, 191 train which was fun, not as much fun as the trains with the lights out and clothes on the ground, but still fun. Brick closed it out with a 211 and we won game 3 and also came back from over 100 pins down to take total. We are now 48-36 in the second half and still have a shot at the title.
