Week 32 - It's Over, Johnny!

Llama Chaser Nation I don't know how to tell you so I will just come out and say it, the Year of the Llama is officially over. We were right there, right on the brink of bowling for the second half title and, to quote Dennis Green, "We let them off the hook." So it won't be are asses getting crowned this year. Let me tell you just how close we got. Game 1 we came out firing Brandon shot a 233 with a llama, Brick shot a 225 with 2 turkeys, Ryan shot a 198, Tom was on average at 189, and our 5th bowler named Kevin shot below his book average of 175 but higher than his average we get each week when he doesn't show up, 165. We won game 1! I mentioned last week how we needed former Llama Chaser Monte's team to hook us up and get 1 win so we could control our own destiny. Well his team did just that, we now controlled our own destiny, all we had to do was win Game 2 turned out to be one of our best games in Llama Chaser history when we needed it most. Tom rolled a clean game 219, Brandon threw a stellar 231(his 5th 230 game or better in a row) and dropped in another llama, Ryan bowled a very nice 213 which included his first llama in weeks, Brick was at his best with a 255 with a turkey and a 6 in a row Mega-Llama, and even the new guy on the team Kevin bowled an above average 181. We had a total of 3 opens as a team! We won game 2! One more win and we were bowling for the 2nd half championship. It just wasn't meant to be apparently. Game 3 we had 3 bowlers under average and lost by about 70 pins. I don't know if we ran out of gas or what happened but it was tough to take. On the bright side we still will finish with our top half and top season in Llama Chaser history. Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright, The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light, And somewhere men are laughing, and little girls shout; Llama Chaser Nation there is no joy in LlamaLand — The Year of the Llama is out. As always you can find us on Facebook or on Twitter and please sign the Guest Book.
